Elective 2: Distinctively visual
Elective 2: Distinctively Visual
In their responding and composing students explore the ways the images we see and/or visualize in texts are created. Students consider how forms and language of different texts create these images, affect interpretation and shape meaning. Students examine one prescribed text, in addition to other texts providing examples of the distinctively visual (BOS, 2011, pg. 13).
The elective, distinctively visual, explores the effect of the visual on the responder through text and images. Accordingly, you will look at how both literary and filmic techniques have been incorporated into the prescribed text to enhance visual imagery and language, bringing to life events, experiences and themes, which are artistic, unique and vivid.
